Intermountain Winery
Intermountain Vineyard and Winery is situated on a five acre estate nestled between Mt. Shasta and Mt. Lassen near the town of Bella Vista in Shasta County. The gentle rolling hills of Northern California are well-suited for growing wine and table grapes. This is an area of pretty significant summer heat, but still enjoys a bit of that great evening cooling off the mountains.

Intermountain Vineyards were planted in 1990 with their first grapes, both wine and table varieties. The construction of the winery was started in May of 2006.
Intermountain produces wine from their estate grown grapes in addition to a large selection of fruit wines. Fruit wines are particularly popular on the East Coast, but have only just begun to develop a following in the west. He currently makes these wines from estate grown figs, raspberries, blackberries, peaches and coming soon is pomegranate. The vineyard and winery will be producing Merlot, Zinfandel, Syrah, Chardonnay and Viognier in a dry wine. The vineyard will produce Muscat and Viognier as sweet wines along with some sweet fruit wines, as fruit is available, such as peach, blackberry, fig, pomegranate, and plum. Available for purchase will be the following table grapes: Seedless Red Flame and black Monukka, Seeded Concord, Muscat, Kyoho and Christmas. The blackberry and Raspberry sweet wine has won several First Place and Best of Show awards in amateur wine competitions. This wine has proven to be a good dessert wine.
Our Bar-B-Q Reserve Red wine is produced each year on Labor Day when the Hoopers gather for their annual family Bar-B-Q. The Bar-B-Q Reserve is a blending of wine and table grapes to produce a very interesting taste and aroma, always red in color and semi sweet. It has become a very popular drink. Intermountain Vineyards and Winery has a wine to please everyone's taste.
